hi, i’m Jas.
The hands, heart, and usually very busy mind behind Kitchen 417.
I’ve always been a little bit of everything. An artist, a creator, a dreamer, a jack of all trades, if you will. I’ve never been great at choosing just one thing to love, but cooking has always had a special place in my heart.
I was a Food Network kid growing up. I could spend hours watching people cook, fascinated by how a handful of ingredients could turn into something incredible. Some of my earliest memories in the kitchen are with my sisters, making what we considered gourmet hot dogs, complete with “fried” (burnt) onions and yellow mustard. When our mom was at work, hot dogs or ramen were pretty much the go to! Naturally, we found a way to make them super fancy. Looking back, I think that’s where it started. Making something special out of something simple.
a little bit of everything
I’ve always loved art just as much as food. Creating things, experimenting, figuring out how to bring an idea to life, that’s just how my brain works. Cooking eventually became another canvas for me. A place where I could combine creativity, curiosity, and a whole lot of love into something people could actually experience. And that’s what brought me here.
why 417?
417 is me. It’s my birthday, my signature, and a little piece of myself that I carry into everything I create. You’ll find it woven into my brands because no matter what I’m making, there’s always a bit of me in it. Kitchen 417 is no different.
from my kitchen to you
Kitchen 417 started with a simple love for making good food and sharing it with the people around me. I’ve always believed you can feel when someone genuinely loves what they’re doing. That’s exactly what I hope you experience with every dish I make. I want you to taste the time, thought, and care that went into it. The hours spent getting something just right. The little details you might not even notice, but that make all the difference. Because at the end of the day, I don’t just want to feed people. I want you to feel loved through my food. Thanks for being here and being part of something that’s so personal to me.
